Monwabisi Kobbies

So this afternoon at about 2pm  I decided to pack some old moonshine and bloodworm to go see if i can catch me a Kobbie or 2!....

Went down to Broken road... plenty of Harders in the water and i'm thinking mmm bait is not going to stand a chance with those critters in the water, unless i used them as the bait! (SF)

So off to Sonwabi side I went but the water that side was like pea soup.... green... "Poop" I'm thinking perhaps i should ma just go sleep!.. anyways go to Mnandi and not much people there! and decide to go down to Monwabisi where I find a moerse lot of people standing and fishing on a Hoop at the parking lot just there where the bathers usually swim.... I decide to park at the first set of Blokke and patiently wathc these okes but they not doing anything... just then a group of 4 ouens go stand on those blokk, First cast out Vas! one of them get a decent looking size Kob, I'm throwing just to the right of them and not too deep, in the meantime a group of ouens pull up next to me in e Red Toyota 4X$ and they effing cast for  "Poop" and one of them chuck over me! I especially moved past the hoop mense to get some peace.

Anyways i feel some tugging on my line and i think agh EFFIT man this is that okes line but i pick up the slack slowly as to not burn mine or his line and retrieve but i'm feeling some head shaking.. and i Think Nahhhh it cant be I'm not that lucky!... but as i bring it in i notice I do nogals have that bliksems line and a fish!!!! its a KOB!! Woo hoo i quickly run down and collect my first Kob for the new season!! "box" "box" "box"

I measure it...62cm so it went home with me, thats when all hell broke loose! the 4 okes on the Blokke multiplied into 10 into 20 okes and they were all landing plenty of undersized and just about size Kobbies!...

Thats when I packed up and went home!
Here's my Laaitie with my fishie

I was chatting to some oke and he reported that saturday loads of Kob was caught, a friend of his got 7 the smallest 5Kg, thats why they came down to fish Macasar entry point close to Monwabisi.

I dont mind sharing info or even a spot but what cheeses me off is when people can boast about catching and keeping undersize and over the bag limit, this season i reckon i'm gonna start fishing again with my camera just to name and shame the okes! bad luck with losing and getting the damn thing wet is the only thing stopping me but hey thats what insurance is for!!!

Come on Summer!

::S::S Lekker fish there SB !

In the past I was naive and I gave locations away, thinking that people had the same mindset as me, i.e. sticking to quotas etc, but I've come to learn that people aren't concerned about the future and will take, pollute and destroy nature where ever possible... That's why I don't give locations away anymore...  Nice fish, I'm sure there's more coming your way boet ! ;)
