Spent almost whole day yesterday on friends cabin boat on Swartkops. Wind was howling, water was very choppy and we caught 5 grunter ( 420-450mm),a small gurnard and a barble. Friend kept 2 the rest went back to fight another day.

Hey frank. Lots of young garricks around. Almost a waist of time trying to fish for them as they end up getting more wounded than anything else. Got some nice shads on saturday upto 3kg so that's was lekka. All in the deep water on plastics

For those that are interested I will be starting tackle and lure clinics for the guys that are starting out. First one is next week saturday.
First class is sold out already but there will be more to come.
I have kept the classes small so that every one can have there questions answered.

Mike classes are all done by Lighttackle.co.za so you need to book with them.

No DVDs but I believe the Inside Angling show we done will be aired on monday night so there's at least something for you to watch.

The Juvenile Garrick were thick today! My bro & I took the canoe out and landed 6 of them in 3 hours (We each got 3). All on strike pro's

If we stayed a bit longer we probably would have got more but the wind was picking up and we were hungry! All fish were released and sped off with loads of energy left. This guy was largest of the 3 I got, he hit the lure and sped off with the current in a symphony of drag screams.

@Spin ja back in London for a bit , getting tackle sorted for next trip. been trout fishing , not the same as catching 70-100 pound tarpon lol.
hitting the gym for trip and cannot wait.
i miss fishing swarries , early mornings on that river walking and stalking are the best.

hey frank. Ja the rise from a trout on a dry fly is still exciting man :)

The Swartkops Inside Angling episode shot with Spin A Holic last month is indeed going to be on tonight at 7pm on SS8, those of you who love the Swarkops should enjoy this one! It is always a priviledge to spend time with Spin on his home waters, and I learn a lot from him every time! Enjoy the show!

Tommo. Good show, but not very informative to the viewer or the more in-experience guys. What about a couple of Tips from the Pro's build into the show?
