Imo big barble on light tackel is great fun. Strong fish. Carp not my thing really but yellows and muddies on artlure or fly will match most salt species pound for pound.

barbel are not far off kob hey, that initial hit from a barbel is always extreme. This particular one exploded out of the water
Carp are lekker to catch on artlure, also known as the freshwater bonefish by some lol... they are quick and have stamina. Typically the carp on artlure are up to 6kg so they are still the fit fish not the fat lunkers. None of them are lacking in fight thats for sure
