howzit

has any one ever used lipless crankbaits in saltwater and caught fish on them?

as i often use them for bass and you can feel how much vibration they put out

when it gets to just infront of you you can even hear the ballbearings in side ratling

i also thought that they might be good for kob at night?

any opinions please

Steve M Just a quick question these lip lis rapy'z do they sink fast? The reason i'm asking is because we use rapalas with lip so that they can dive deep (kob feed on the bottem and middle water colum) the lip on the rapala make's it push up sand when it's retrief'd slowly along the bottem .. The sand being push't up triger's the strike from the kob... Even copper spoon's at night being pul'd along the bottem get's nail'd.. When fishing with a spoon cast it out let it sink.. Then retrief it slow and every now and then whip it up and let it sink to the bottem again, let it lei there for a couple of second's and just repeat that....

That are all great ART. baits to use. I use the Zara spook and Zara puppy and have great sucsess on them with Garrick. Never fast retreave. Always the walk the dog methard with resting peariods and the odd twitch and imetating a dieing fish on the serface.

I must say. I have tried other lipless crancks and the Spro comes out tops. it has a super aggressive wobble and it really ploughs through the sand, generally without getting hooked up. The silver should dominate, but my favourite colour if the Black and Gold. Check it out!

I have had plenty of success using lipless crankbaits for elf and leeries, the one I favour is the 1oz chrome and blue ratlle trap by Bill lewis.

Cheers !
