Line for my baitcaster?

Hey guys im new here and i need some advice.
I cant afford braid for my baitcaster so what mono can i use or what is recommended?

I have had some Fireline on my shimano chromica for over 12 years. The braid might seem expensive initially but it literally lasts for ever if you buy a quality product like Berkley Fireline. Rather save a bit and go for braid. The braid is better for muscling bass out of heavy cover or grass.

I have a cheap shimano crestfire loaded with 100m of 7kg maxima. Like R30 for 100m. No problems with this line and use it literally every weekend targeting barbel.
