the chase spoons are all white metal the back off your knife is all you need. if you have brass or copper the better halfs  brasso is good

Beach sand rubbed onto the spoon also works. Went for a spin last night at Blakes beach with LoomisX5. Millions of glassies/anchovies/mullet?? All over , birds working ,but, not a touch!! Beat the water to a froth with about 8 different spoons!!! Still cant believe it!!

hi Geno77

the rod is a poseidon ulta light. works well and you can throw a 50 to 70gm over 150m
I want to c that!!!!70gm = 150m

You'd be surprised how far the guys throw them (note: the guys, not me). It is a combination of the shape of the spoon, and the new technologies of rods, propper grinders, and braid.

The added distance is the reason (in my opinion) of the recent successes throwing spoons. In the past you would seldom hear of people catching snoek after snoek, day after day, from the beach.

As for myself, I can't even throw conventional gear 150m!

The Chase Bullet Spoons.

These have been chased all around Kzn recently. Kingies cant leave them alone and shad just love them as well.

The workmanship on these are brilliant, quality swivels as well and mustad ultra thin big gun hooks used.
Man these look good, anyone know where I can order them from my tackle shops in vryheid hav`nt even heard of these till now?? If someone can pm me the contact details and prices that would be appreciated

Hi guys, just for info, Chase is now a Sealine advertiser:

Well done and welcome guys!

And just a teaser, I am waiting for a photo from a mate that may very well have caught a new record Brassy Kingfish on the Chase spoon in Moz. SA Record is 65cm, does anyone know where we can get the All Africa record?

Sorry to hijack this thread but it's very interesting what you mention about the SA record brassy. I got this one of 67cm in Dec near Banga Neck. I can't find a fish weight calculator for a brassy, can anyone help?

I think the SA light tackle record for brassy (greenspot) is around 65cm.

Are you a member of a club? Lots of record size fish are not records as the anglers are not affiliated.
