Hi.

From past experience, Langebaan usually produces some nice size stumpnose around march. After that the fish move towards the mouth. Your best bet is to try and get into the harbour at saldanah, give the guards something and they might let you in. You bound to catch some nice stumpnose and kob in the harbour.

Let us know what happens.

For the stump there Prawn and bloodworm. If you have crayfish try that i caught a nice stump on prawn with a hint of crayfish about 2kg stump and it takes hard. Sardine will get you sharks and kob. but the stump don't take on the sardine unless they had enough of the prawn

maybe 1.3kg:D

Ok maybe 13kg i wouldn't know but what i do know is that you only get from the boat at the back of the eiland or something. You should probably have copper wire as trace for a 13kg...

Anything over 10kg is a bull..

Prawn is your best bet for stumpnose & kob. You can pump it in the lagoon as well. If you pump along the hill on low tide between the rocks ytou can pickup some nic bloodworm.

Where along the hill i would also like to know.

I know that if you pump by the bouy in front of smith street. There's a hole that produces bloodworm and big one. that is to the right of where they launch the boats

head straight to the wreck, pump some prawn, take some tjokka with and you can get black mussel from the wreck. take a piece of tjokka and beat it till it's falling apart wrap it around the prawn then beat it again. then ad the black mussel to the tjokka and prawn. tie it around the hook real good. i know it's messy but the bait attract's the big stumps.

scorps,

that is some recipe.
I must try it the next time I'm in the baan.

A mate of mine went to the baan in APril last year after some strong SE and murdered the BULLE. But do not let that hold you back if there is no SE. The baan will give you fish on a NW as well. But also be prepared to blank as this is not the time for her  :(

About that animal of an elf in the baan, I would think it was before I was born like 1972, since in all my time fishing there I have caught one barely size elf. But that pic brought tears to my eyes. If only the okes at least stuck to their bag limits for elf instead of the 20 they take home to feed the cat, then maybe we could see some of that around once more.

at the army jetty is the only place you allowed to braai at the baan.

to the right of the jetty is the braai area, I think it's R100 per family to braai there, and to the left of the jetty is where the action happens with the bulle
