Laaiplek / Veldrift

I had high hopes of landing some large flatfish at Soverby, but loads of seaweed meant that I stuck to the harbor wall and Veldrift next to the bridge.

Ended up catching a few small steenies and a grunter - first time using circle hooks. Penn Sargus 4000, 8ft Vengance, 15lb Spiderwire braid

The number one circle worked well. Rigged with a live pink / mud prawn I didn't have to resist the strike too long as those greedy buggers did a 'knock... knock.... run'

They're brilliant for small fish! Hooks don't get swallowed so often and one bite and they're hooked!
