Time flies When you're in a spot Like This , and before i Knew it , it Was heading for 4 Pm .
A comical Moment , was when i tried to Make a handline out of the roll Of Mono I usually take with , for Lighter stuff . all the leftover .40 or .45 Line , i tie together and either use it for sinker line , or a Light Trace . i quickly rolled off what i felt was enough Line , went to my Tackle box , and Dispatched a Nice small hook , a treble swivel , and a pyramid . Only Got One rod , so with No other choice , i Wanted to fish for a galjoen ........................
Carefully tie On the Red bait (left out for a Week-should've called all the galjoen from stillbay) , find a spot for the Roll behind a v-shaped rock. i'd been playing in the gully with a shorter Piece , but i Wanted to put it out in front of us , just to see what i could "scratch " for .
Swung the sinker over my head , gave it 2 or 3 good whirls to clear the drop and Let go .
I Had to hold On after this .
I Let go Of the Line , and the Pyramid flew off to the horizon , peeling the line off the ground in front of My feet.But In my haste to get fishing again , i didn't really Measure just HOW MUCH line I'd unwound from the spool , and -yup- you guessed it - I'd Thrownn the sinker further than the Line of the spool , and -with one short *YANK* -There goes the spool out from behind the rock , into the Sea !!!!!!! Lekke rooiaas , the whole tolletjie of Line -GONE !! NO MORE HANDLINE FISHING Again - NOT EVER !!!! Ha Ha Ha Ha !!
I Swear to you , hannes was Laughing so hard i could Only turn around and say "

Shucks It was funny as hell .I didn't Think I would put it up on sealine, but In Retrospect sometimes one Makes the silliest Mistakes .This was One Of em !!
Damnit Man , i Laughed for a Long time after that . ALL THAT BLOODY EFFORT- FOR NOTHING !!! Lololololol ! good thing I Don't do things Like that in front of My kids .
i Made a Last cast with sore stomach Muscles , and we Remembered that we Still had to climb back up ....................
If you think down is a Bugger , then you just have to try going back up .
