i plan on building a fish pond and was just curious on how much the 5-10 cm koi cost from koi farms

Hey guys, I bought 5cm Khoi from a Nursery on Fish Hoek size. They cost R 180 for 10. Interesting story is this. I bought them, fitted a net etc. My pond is around 1.8m x 1.8m and 0.6m deep. From when I put them in the pond my Rottweiler bitch was very interested in watching them. They survived the first night very well, but the next day while I was at work my Rottweiler decided to climb in the pond. Only her head woulr stick out above the water, but she actually caught 11 of the Khoi and ate them. My wife phoned me in horror with the carnage going on on. I am now thinking about taking her with next time we go for Snoek.

lol... Thats got to suck. Yuou have to cover the pond securely. otherwise birds, cats and other animals will catch a free lunch.
