A few guys asked me where i thought they should fish Saturday, after checking the 4 meter swells i said they should fish in the river! I took my own advise and spent the day with my wife and very keen son and daughter on the jetty just to the right of the white bridge on Brenton rd, I packed all the light rods in the boot of my car and was promptly instructed that the rods should be up on the roof like When I go fishing! Who was i to argue??

First in the water was Joshua and he had a bite almost immediately! PANDEMONIUM!! he pulled the fish like hell and took no heed of Dads instructions and practically dead-lifted this tiny blue ray up on to the jetty! Check the bend in that Fin-chaser!

I now managed to get the rest of the rods in the water and looked at Katy's rod and chuckled! it was cute but was defenitly not going to catch anything, pink line and all! LOL!! how wrong i was! the next moment the tip dipped and the tiny PINK reel screamed! Mom set the hook and she was into her first fish!
