This was the most awesome fishing experience of my life... And I have fished quite alot!

Me and 3 of my best friends went down to kenton on sea in early december and decided to try the kariega river mouth for 2 nights we were down there. So we got outr tackle ready and fished away... It was slow until we pulled out a lesser sandy of about 3 kilos and then we were on!

My friend stephan had something huge take about 200 meters of line off his reel and it was gone! That was the only bad luck we experienced!!

We ended up catching about 8 lesser sandsharks 2-4 kg, about 5 blue rays 6-25 kg and about 11 raggies 20-60 kg... All this in 2niotes!!! It was unbelievable and sure the fish mite not of been that big but it was still such a jol... We had a fish on with every single bait we put out!!!!!

Hi Sstephen if i understand u that would be the west side in front of jeremias restuarant. Why i am asking is because i often fish up the beach on the opposite side

Howzit going gut... We were fishing on the kenton side... The river mouth on the jeremiahs side of the beach... We were actually fishing right into the mouth and not into the breakers...

How often do u fish that area? I would love 2 hear about what u have caught in the area! please let me know

Ok cool... Yeah that one big storm caused a bit of havoc in the mouth but hopefully it goes back to what it was very soon! What edibles do u catch in that region?

Hey. Nice raggies. A couple of my friends andi also went fishing at kareiga but up the kariega river at kob hole. We hooked 5 raggies in total. 3 we didnt see cause we snapped off but there were bubles. 1 of about 1.3 metres snapped off on the side of the boat and we caught 1 that we followed with the boat for an hour and 15 minutes but it snapped off eventually cause we were using light tackle. Also caught a grunter of 3.8 kg
