weather getting better by the day,
so I wanted to check in with the RSA
n friends sea angling community.

I'm Pargo MAN from Luanda, which has
become second home for a Northseanutter.

Only thing missing is Oktoberfest:::S.

Any queries on your Northern neighbour?
Just might be able to liaise... after 20 years
in and out of the beautiful country.

... so I hope noone will be too anoyed by my
silly questions.

I had heard about this site from GOF in the
Bavarian & Global www.big-game-board.info

Before I start swindeling with the pack, I feel I
should introduce myself appropriatly.

I first set foot into Angola 1989 and I've always in &
out stayed in touch. Only in 2006 I brought my family
from Germany, who learnt to love it loads.

Before Angola saltwater fishing I used to target carp,
bream, tench and company near Hamburg.

From my first timid salty attempts the Luanda legendary
siren "Kianda" has been generous to me.

Sitings each offshore day guaranteed on:
giant sunfish
airborne mata rays
mako and family
migrating whales
turtles abundant

Odd days:
swimming with dolphins

MAN, what an aquarium to call home?!

The "bag" consists in warm season (October to May) of
juvenile yellowfins
big dorados
the odd hefty sail
agressive blue marlin
angry Mako
who all come to greet you through the season...

During competition season I double as
decky onboard "Djamila2", the Team
"Malta da Kianda".

I dont count myself an expert fisherman,
but one or the other questions about Angola
I might be able to respond to enthusiastically.

Do shoot,

Welcome to the site!!

Awesome pics there, how far off Luanda do you get those fish? I work in Angola myself, offshore on a FPSO 150km from the coast and the fishing is insane there!! Plenty of marlin but i cant land the fish on my handline!!

Ahoi, FPSO Dorado!!

youre just north of the canyon, or just south?
I understood off Cabinda you guys got a floating
circus around your vessel.... bless you.

See how unfair things are? We got to get into
our dinghi and skipper to the 200 yard line,
which can be anything of 30 to 50 miles out,
depending where the season suggests.

At times it takes us a fair two hours to get to the
grounds. Sometimes with the chop gone wild
during nightly thunderstorms, we cannot even
reach there...

Say, FPSO-Dorado, you got the Marlin around the
boat all year? Down South were we are they tend
to fade away in June/July to return in October.
Seems they are hibernating your end...

Kind regards and keep the juice pumping!

Sorry for the mention of a web link. I admit, just now have I read the rules.

I regret, should I have caused any trouble. Won't happen again.

Cordial regards from Luanda
