JigStar Africa Demo @ The Tackle Box Shelly Beach

Hey guys,

The very kind folks at The Tackle Box in Shelly Beach on the KZN South Coast have very kindly offered to host a demo for JigStar Africa on Monday 20th of April from 6:00PM at their wicked shop in Shelly Beach on the KZN South Coast.

I'll be there with all the JigStar Africa products, including JigStar and Smith Rods, Alutecnos and Shimano Ocea Jigger reels, Tacklewhore Jigs and all the terminal ends of things like Gamakatsu Tuned Hooks, Kevlar Assist cord, Split and Solid rings etc for anyone who wants to come and have a play with this awesokme tackle, get yourselves down to the Tackle Box, come have a beer and some snacks, check out the gear and have a chat.

The Tackle Box is an awesome store, situated on the way  to the Shelly Beach Ski Boat club, less than 500 metres from the slipway.

Incredibly well stocked with everything from Rock & Surf, Offhsore, Drop Shot and everything else you can imagine, with fantastic service from Mark and Andrew, so worth checking out anytime you are in the area.

Along with doing gear demos, we'll be doing Knot and rigging demos of everything Jigging and popping orientated, like the PR knot, and Chain knots etc.

Come on round to check out the gear, as well as pick up some great tricks and tips from a bunch of well seasoned and experienced Jiggers.

Just want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to the guys at the TAckle Box, Andrew and Mark, for having me round and for all the beer, snacks and eats - What an awesome TAckle Store, with proper friendly informed service, super well stocked, and the kind of place you wanna hang out and learn some tricks, pick up some good info, test some tackle, and just shoot the sh*t!
If you are ever down on the SOuth Coast guys, really do yourselves a favour and stop by The Tackle Box.


Also wanted to say a huge thanks to the 30 odd guys who showed up for the Demo... was great to meet all you guys and have a chance to do a bit of show and tell with our JigStar Africa Products, and we are really excited about JigSTar Africa products taking on the Amberjacks, Yellowtail and Coppers of the East Coast. Great to meet a fellow Sealiner as well, Seabiskit ( another Andre! :) )

Thanks to all of you guys who came down on a pretty cold rainy Monday night, and hope to see you all on the water soon, I'll be back soon for sure!

Defintely keen Tim... Local shops don't seem nearly as friendly or open to a wooly headed hippie like myself, so perhaps approacing the clubs would be a better option... Will chat to HT and get his thoughts on FBMT and CB as well...

Gotta say it was an awesome evening, and what a pleasure dealing with a shop that makes you feel at home and want to hang around in....

Are you in town this week Tim? Beers if you keen?

Phoned him about something else and happened to remember seeing this thread.

Thursday should be good for me bro.... Will call ya tomorrow and have a chat, see if HT, Gav and Freakazoid are around to join, and Roy is down as well...anyone else who is keen?

Misguide - What a lekker bunch of guys at Tacklebox... wish the shop was there when I grew up there!!!

@ Nepps, Jason (Misguide) is an OLD Toppie !

Must say, been to the tackle box once in Jan, and was pleasantly surprised ! Great guys very willing to assist ! Thats where I saw them Accurate reels.

Will you be in Sheppie next week ??? Would like to hook up for a beer ?

Fernando and I might be doing some popping and jigging on Sunday...

Will be my 1st solid jigging exercise. Cant wait!!!!

Gerhard - Good luck with Fernando on Saturday mate... he has one or two of our JigStar 350's, have a look at them... He's a great angler and will really show you a thing or two about catching Kob on Jigs... he's also got a BUNCH of our Jigs to check out...

Misguide - I wouldn't say Class of 91 makes you a bullet.... but close!! :) HAHAHAHAH!!! Kidding mate....

The jigstar 350 is without any doubt my best looking rod :), and I've got more rods than I should.....

It "feels" great under my arm, but unfortunatly haven't used it yet :-( , will take it this sunday let's see how it work's with the AJ's .
