For my first first jigging / popping trip i don't want to screw it up by using an inferior rig. I'm quite keen on the Saragosa, that reel looks mighty strong. Will definitely keeps you guys in the loop about my purchase.

Yeah Stella is out of this world, price and performance wise, also have a 10K

Three years ago my good friend Marco Couto, from the Angolan fishing Team Tubaroes, got 12 Striped Marlins from 40 to 90 Kg on a Calstar and a Stella in Mexico IGFA Sport Fishing World Cup, he was elected Best Angler that year.

That performance made my mind, I knew I had to buy a Stella, saved some money and finally did it this year (luckly the new model), sometimes at nigh I still cry for the money spent (hehehehe )

Here he is with the same Stella and the Calstar, but this time with a small cubera snapper :-(

P.S.- Figjam you made a very good choice on the saragosa and you won't regret it

Ok .. guys i have finally got my rig setup.. as follows:

Daiwa Opusbull 80XH

Shimano Saragosa 14000

Spool - Jigman 80lb braid, spare spool - Viper 80lb

 

Even looks better on paper ... Can't wait to get to deep for some smashing!
