Jigging reels

Good day all...

I'm looking to get set up with a PE3/4 jigging set up. From what I can gather, this would allow me to fish without overpowering smaller species, but also be able to handle fish upto about 15 or 20 kilos.

Please help me out on this one, is my assumption flawed?

We'll be jigging for Tuna, GT, possible Snapper and grouper, probably only to about 15 or 20 kgs at the biggest.

Rods, jiggs and line are sorted, but my question is regarding reels, I'd like to get multiplier, but not sure what to get. please could you guys offer some suggestions. Budget is around R3000 - R4000.

What jigging rod are you using?

M&W jigging ocean star 615 mutilplier would be your best choice.35kg max drag, available in SA.

Thanks for the reply. I actually live in Taiwan. I have taken a look at M&Ws gear. I Just need to find a supplier here so I can go look and feel the rod. Do you perhaps know the Taiwan agent?

Impressive reel test! 2 minutes on the spin and absolutely no snatching when pulling line at speed...
