Jigging and popping tackle

I am new to the jigging and popping game, but is alot of fun. I am looking to buy myself  the poseidon offshore jigging and popping rods and fit them both with daiwa seagate 6000. As entry level goods, these are excellent. Many anglers will swear by the poseidon rods and the 4.7 ration of the reel will make it a duel purpose reel.

Really a personal choice by Personally prefer the Shimano Saragosa reels.

Hey. I was looking at the off shore series (the one with the blue handle right??) I have been told that the 7ft can compensate for both jigging and popping. Is this true??

The table on top is the info of the offshore series with the blue handle. Not to sure if the have a 7ft in that range.

The seagate is a great reel but is more for jigging as opposed to popping because it has a slower retrieve, I use mine as a medium outfit with 50lb braid and matched with a Daiwa Monster Mesh PE4 its a great little rod with a softer tip for a better action and good back bone best of all its cheaper( King Fisher are clearing them) and lighter than the poseidon .

For Popping in that price range go with the Poseidon 8 ft it has a better action than the 7 ft version and go with the Saltist 6500H or the Shimano saragosa as these 2 have a faster gear ratio which is better for popping.

i broke 2 rods the other day inshop with saragosa reels on them testing their bends think it was 6 kg drag on reels
