No problem so far with mine that i bought 4 months ago.
Prices also seem reasonable. If you planning on getting one contact Gani's in Witbank for best prices.

I have one(44lb one), I really like it, and it works well. But my comment really means nothing seen as i know nothing about trolling motors and brands and all that.
I have a 102aH battery with it.
And a 6.5A charger, but i think i need a new one, as this one is VERY old.
The battery lasts pretty dam long. Myself and Riaan took it onto Eikenhof the other day (which happened to be the windiest day ever) and we used it all around the whole dam and the battery didnt leave the green marker.

I bought one for my dad a couple of months ago and he uses his at Witsand in the estuary. I bought it online from Basil Manning...they deliver.

I can find out the details if you want, but I know he bought a deep cycle battery for it.

what chargers do a person need for these deep cycle batteries
There are several great threads here at Sealine on deep cycle batteries, automatic chargers, etc. Do a search.

In short -
Deep Cycle batteries are a must for trolling motors because of the huge amount of discharge on each use, normal batteries can't handle this.
Standard chargers must not be left on charge indefinitely, even on trickle charge.
Only automatic chargers like the Hawkins Auto and Smart Pro units can be left on charge.

The ultimate fully automatic chargers use pulse technology, are a fraction of the weight and price, and not only do the job faster, but more efficiently as well.  And your batteries not only deliver more power, but extends their service life dramatically.

Their fully automatic Auto Logic 1210m goes for around R800.

The 1210M is slightly smaller than the 2412 here:-

I use a Jarvis 34lb and its is powerful and quiet, it runs off a Deltec 105Ah battery which doesnt ever seem to go flat.
To charge batt I have a Ctek xs7000 wich has an output of 7a I think, anyway I am no expert but I think for a deep cycle battery a good charger is a must otherwise you will just kill your battery.

I also use the ctek charger, i put my deapcylcle battery on charge and it takes about 6 days to charge till green marker (no lies).

Once my battery is on green i use it Friday, saterday and sunday without charching. Monday it goes back on charger until Friday.

The ctek charger was not cheap that i tell you.
