Island Shores

Hi guys,

Went to island shores for the first time recently, had quite abit of fun.

caught a few, not monsters but was fish never the less.

All fish were taken on plain sc mieliebomb with a stripe of fx , banjo floaties with swd dipped in stevenson's mielie gel at a distance of about 70 meters.

hopefully i will bring my canoe next time and row those baits out, pretty sure there are some biggies further out there!

Great report, UJ is a nice place to fish, Where did you sit? left or right of the jetty's?

The previous time I went there I saw the bigger ones come out at about 120-130 meters. Think you wont regret taking out the canoe next time.

Soos ek verstaan is UJ nogal dieperige water, so ek glo ook as jy jou aas op so 150m kan kry, gaan jy n decent size hammer!

Dankie vir die verslag en fotos. Lyk darem maar lekker...

UJ raak vinnig diep. Enigma het laas vir ons gesê dis so 6m diep op 80m. Oppas vir te ver gaan. Het al gesien hoe n ou tot amper by die eiland roei waar dit vrek diep is en hul het niks gevang nie. Ek sou sê 120-150m is genoeg.

Ons het laasjaar n naweek (3 aande) gekamp daar en die vis mas almal maar klein. Ek het darem al vis ook sien uitkom daar oor die 3kg. Mens moet seker maar net geduld hê.
