Land Locked

Ghost,
Thank you, but the reason is purely selfish. I like to eat some of my catch, if I don't release I know that there will come a time that I won't have any catch at all. Now I just wish we could get everybody to see it this way.
Keep in mind that being Land Locked a lot of my edibles are things like yellow's. We all know that our yellows are in trouble so I try to return all of them that I catch. I feel so strongly that I don't even use a keep net. In an ideal world I would never keep a yellow, but this is not an ideal world and from time to time you hook one badly and it doesn't make it.(As far as fresh water fish go, yellows are great table fare so I don't waste it.) I tend to use heavier than ideal tackle for yellows to minimise long line release, this has the obvious effect of cutting down my catch ratio.
Just my feelings
