@ Pro-duck.
Can't go wrong with a Nissan.
If the wheels fail, you can rely on that propellor under the bonnet.

Tight lines (fishing, not towing)

I quite like land rovers they look the business and when they do work they are formidable off road machines if only they always worked. Even ze shermans couldn't get it right.

I think it was Ferdinand Porsche who said that a land rover was the only vehicle you could keep bolting crap to and it just looks better and better.

I'll stick to Toyota if my accelerator gets stuck I'll drive over whatever's in front of me.

I'm also a Toyota fan (the old SFA)!

How do you get a LR on top of a hill?

You tow it there!

A big LR fan once said to me, " 75% of all LR's ever built is still on the road today"

I replied..." I know only 25% made it home"::S

We are still friends,....but its different since.:fbash

How do put oil inside a LR engine?

Pour it all over the engine, ....... it will leak in by itself!

Sardyn, as a matter of intrest. Do you find it easy to drive on the beach? is it only 4wd or does it have low range. Then do you tow your boat on the sand?

The Freelander was great.....too low to tow a trailor or boat on the sand..........

Rated amongst the best SUVs on the sand....

Clever man - make sure you always park behind a Hilux on the beach. In case you need a tow out!

Regarding the recalls - an unfortunate reality when you are in mass production in order to supply an entire planet with its top selling vehicle for 30 years in a row.
