Hello Gents,

Just got in. Had to work for a change. Went down to Blakes yesterday afternoon. The water is terrible. For maybe 2 clicks out the water is very brown and 'thick'. Kob water you would say? Forget it, only 'Skaamhaaie' and then few and far between. The water has been like this for the last two months and the fishing here is terrible. We will have to move further up the coast if we want to catch anything. Haven't even been able to catch live bait in this water. The Strepies have fled, but Puffies, lots!

Thank you Mike for making this event official. I feel that it is the correct way to ensure member support for outings. Real crap when you organise something and next to nobody turns up.

Lets hear from other Capetonians re the date. So far we have a nice birthday bash going for Brendon if we make it the 3rd of November. We had better check the rugby and cricket for this period to make sure that we don't clash.

I will approach Somerset- and Strand Sports for some small prizes. They are a nice bunch of guys and will give.

Then I suggest a 'Bring and Braai' as this venue lends it perfectly for this, or if this takes to much fishing time, then a "Worsbroodjie Braai'.

Come Guys and Gals, let us know your thoughts to make this a successful and enjoyable experience.
Sounds great and I definitely in, small problem my schedule is unpredictable, so I can only confirm closer to the time, if that is alright with you guys.

Cheers
Stephen

morning peoples .......... Kakaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Kakaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

I chatted to emp this morning, and the consensus is that we keep it a social angling event, I will liase with Oceandancer and whoever else wants to or can organise prizes ???? (PM me please)

In keeping with the objectives on Sealine it must be a catch and release day, which is a good thing, that way we can lead by example :dban:

I think it is an idea to maybe not be so fussy with who gets the prizes but rather do a "funniest guy on the beach" prize or maybe a "longest day" prize, any suggestions are welcome please, to either myself or Coxy.

One thing we don't want to do is make it an overnight social, legal ramifications etc etc, so we will decide upon a fishing time and then do a prize giving afterwards. The guys who want to stay over are obviously more than welcome to, but it must be noted that Sealine in no way is a part of it.

Please lets hear any cool ideas for this day, and lets have a real Jol when it comes!!!!

Howzit Oceandancer,

You all ready for the 28th I hope ??? I'm looking forward to 'buddying' one of your youngsters :breakd:

On this thread however...... allow me to chat to Emp and see what exactly his thoughts are and how I should go about this with regards to the reel and the jackets, caps etc etc. I am 100% sure though that I will have his full support!!!!!

cheers
