I want to start a fishing group with guys that fish in Strandfontein.

Hi there guys.

You chaps sound like a bunch of eager beavers.  Have you ever considered joining an angling club and fishing competitively?  Our club (Four Oceans Angling club) is on a recruitment drive and the guys are always fishing and willing to show the ropes.  We are based in the Southern suburbs.  We are affiliated with WP Shore angling so if it tickles your fancy let me know.

Just a friendly warning.  The fishing gets very intersting and hectic.

Hi tailfin hw u doin mate.I read on sealine that you must realy have dedication passion and lots of time on your hands when you belong to a club.What are the conditions of belonging to 4 oceans club.Does brendon not belong to your club ? Great guy neva met him but always willing to help.Tanx carl

Yep lots of dedication and passion.  Time needs to be set aside for meetings which we have b4 competitions and for competitions itself.  Competitions are normally a whole day thing but great fun tho.

Brendon is a member.  Always eager and a real ambassador for our club and the sport.

Hi

Just got  back from Die Dam.  Quite a productive 2 days in relatively bad conditions.  Got some kob and belman.  Other guys got geelbek.  The water cleared up and the wind pulled in from the west.

Got fond memories of some great fishing there. Best is off the rocks below the Chalet ( the one you can hire ).The one day we saw a guy casting net for pinkies( he was going to fish for Shark ). A lot got left behind in the water , and that night we smashed the Kob , 10kg to 12 kg range. They had come in for the pinkies left behind. We hardly had to cast. Just put a head or tail on the hook , with a decent sized hook , and flicked it out. Was great fun as we were catching on Grinders and landing a fish that size , on racks , at night , is hectic.

 




 

but I wouldnt recommend anyone doing the same with the pinkys. Maybe a sack of old sards.

Ja its by time hey guys about 3months i think ? The more lines in the water the better the chances of the fish coming to shore... So lets have a good one guys :)

High tide is at 11h29 on sunday so we can kinda arrange a time according to that time.so any requests on what time ?

If high is at 11.30 then maybe around 7ish? Gives us time to fish the incoming tide as well as move if nothing is happening. What you guys think?

Yeah,let's try and get together.I'm in, as discussed, and probably will be available Saturday and Sunday mornings from 08h30 - 12h00 as I need to drop and collect daughter.Will phone to see where you guys are and think we spoke about Beespens as a good option.But open to suggestions.Need to first try and get some worm though,to accommodate Pike and to vary the bait options on offer.

Hey Dorado , you more than welcome to join.the plan is to get together as many guys as possible and check what the water is like , location will probably stranfontein through to macassar if numbers are right.so if anyone knows macassar thats great as i have never fished there.so ja lets first see how many of the guys pitch...?
