Water temp on surface area's was around 29 degr and bottom was 24 degr. Tuna's was on williamson feathers with birdies pink. Pics dont want to upload on wifes pb. 26kg and 29kg. I also went some of the days out on the jetski and got saily 22kg on halco red and gold. Plan to go to Santa Maria in Feb and then Guinjata in June again.

Shot for the info, always good to post what lures a person used, as it helps visitors to Moz or generally assisting the offshore okes that starting up....Good maybe see you in June then?

The red head in any brand of lure remains one of my all time favourite lure..." Old Faithfull"...Despite thousands on new designs and colours, the humble red head will take tops at the end of the day! The bugtails, did you pop cast them? What tackle are you using?

Good pics, keep it coming TNX!

I was given a Williamson Red Head Speed Pro 180 by Ganisangling (Hussein & Norma) in December, we went out had the Red Head & Squid 360 pink (Demontackle)in the spread, man we went vas in seconds, those 2 lures are my best at the moment, sadly I lost the Red Head on the 3rd fish close to the boat, but the 360 squid made up for my lost, hence the fact I ordered more Williamson Speed Pro 160& 180 various colours & 360 squids & more red heads. I also got some for my friend in Maputo...Last weekend I did a stock up in Durbs, went to 3 tackle shops in the short time I was there, stocked for the year plus some extras....lol. The thing with lures is some days you go home minus 5 lures, sometimes lucky none lots. With the lures and tackle getting expensive , I tend to buy "bulk" thus I know I have a supply at all times. Beside the love of buying tackle I think buying bulk can save you money, lets say over a year's period. Prices you won't beat is: Ganisangling, Demontackle, Luckys and Tuckers in Cape Town has got some good specials from time to time. I am still looking for 3 Rapala lures, golden oldies, namely the Bright Pink tiger stripe, Purple tiger stripe and green/yellowish tiger stipe, I bought some in the early 90's they were the original wooden okes....haven't seen them around since. Got many Cuta on them...tuff lures!

LOL....Love the Moz winners, another rooi kop freak...You know I have even had luck using the bass version at Inanda, catching bass using red head crank bait! Not sure if the red head is catch me too? But, yes....certainly has yielded results for many okes. I am sure if you ask the question here on Sealine, which lures the okes like, you will find that lots okes will say...."Old Faithfull" THE HUMBLE - RED HEAD!
