Actually, a better way might be to use paint. You will loose less detail this way.Bennie, could he not maybe seal the plug with resin?? Like those little bottles that look like a double barrel syringe??
I'm going to make a simple 8" tail for tuna. I found a stick that resembles a drum stick. Sanded it and now I'll add some paint then make a simple mould. I'd be surprised if it takes me half an hour in total man hours to make.I can't take much credit, I saw a guy coat his molds like that on YouTube. He used that double barrel syringe type resin/epoxy. The lures came out really shiny and smooth!
I've been watching a few videos, I'm keen to try make a basic mold for a bass worm. If it comes out nice, I might be tempted to get some Plastisol and try it. I figure at Hazelmere even a really bad lure will get a bass!
