I decided earlier this year to take this form of a

I fished Boschkop on Sunday (25th)and didnt do to bad. My peg (with brother) got a couple of good fish. You can read the post under the repot section.

I fished at my club waters (Slaughter on Vaal) on Sat 24th July, got 3 fish (was fishing at 90-100m, built a kol with 15-20 bombs (1st mistake!).

As the fish were rising and jumping all over the place, I decided to fish at 1 distance only with both rods (2nd mistake!).

A fellow club member and his wife fishing next to me were casting at about 30-40m, and must have caught 20-30 fish between them for the session! ...

It seems that at the Vaal this winter (with the water so high) that fish are CLOSE!!!!

We live and learn ...

I also couldnt believe that the fish was so close. It seemed even if you throw in your bait with your hand you will be able to catch something!

First ever Freshwater comp for me.
At Cilliers - Vaaldam, I'll be checking maps to find it, but am sure the directions I got will take me there.

Anything in red and sweet ?
