did you check how i changed the guys reel whilst he was fighting that 80kg grey!!!!
Could you elaborate please, you dont have to mention reel brands at all, just exactly how you managed to do it. Sounds interesting.

Whilst fishing at mapuzi on Saturday one of our guys that we took on the trip hooked onto a big shark, whilst fighting the shark his reel decided it had enough and was free spooling, the guy was now very tired and dissappointed, he wanted to give it up.
My brother and i often take guys to transkei on a weekend trips and by hook or by crook we make sure you catch a fish so there was no way that this guy was going to loose his fish, i sent him up the mapuzi hill about 150m above sealevel and then took one of our reels removed the top line, then walked right to the back of the hill giving him space to hold his braid in his hand with a cloth whilst my brother held his rod and i made a bimini on his now cut braid, and i managed to join it to our reel and hook the reel onto his rod all in about three minutes, when the fish did pull we just walked forward cause we allowed for this.
Fish was eventually landed on the rocks in the first gully on the left, too deep to go down, we had to cut the line down at the ring.
