howzit guys.
i decided yesterday afternoon to try for something toothy somewhere on the false bay side. so i got to my destination and was joined by subaruseun at around 11:30. around 00:30am i decided to make a gooi aas from a small smoothound, to have it ready for the pushing tide,. well, 2 hours later my rod tip dipped and bounced, and i picked up my rod and freespooled the fish as she moved away slowly... after about 15 meters i clipped the clutch back over and hit her about 6 times.there were huge head shakes and strong steady runs, but not like a bronzie,so i suspected it to be a raggie.. well, to make a long storie short, the fight was between 10 to 15 minutes, and the female raggie was measured 168cm by subaru seun, after wich she was tagged and swam off strongly. the measurements converts her weight to 87.40kgs.
i was really chuffed! thanks Subaru. ek sou gesukkel het sonder jou hulp!!
