Howzit Fisherman...;)

Taught I should do a post of our trip to Mihanzi which took place on the weekend of the 25 Feb.

Arrived on Thursday afternoon around 14h00, Overcast cool afternoon. Setup Camp and started prepping for Friday 26th to start competition at 14h00.

Friday 14h00 markers out +/-185m , feed was dropped(mielies,Hemp,Tigers) Molasses blocks.

Friday mid afternoon WIND Storm Hit us. Most horrible wind storm we ever experienced. Grave yard of Gazebos all round. Horrible,

First fish out at 17h00 3.5kg(carp) caught on Floatie and SWD Vaalking and FX on the bol.

Some other combos we tried.
Spitfire/Raptor
Banjo/FX
TCP a must when wind is pumping.
KOO mielies just never worked this time round.

Friday night and Saturday Morning was a bit slow. Then action started Saturday from 14h00 till Sunday.

We picked up fish within 30mins of dropping lines. A few barbels came out to play as well. Taking on floaties. Biggest barbell 6.7kg, Biggest Carp 5.6kg. AVG carp for our bag was 4.5kg.

The comp rules where 6 biggest for the bag and biggest per specie.
We ended up taking 2nd place with a bag weight of 26kgs just only 3kg behind 1st place.
Overall another brilliant weekend at Mihanzi. Once again the venue produced. Biggest carp for the winners where 8.65kg Grassy and 8.85kg Barbel, 1.3kg Muddy, 1.05kg yellow. Some pics to follow....
