Oh yes.works like a dream. Even in heavy winds. Less than a minute to take out lines to 185m and back.

Nice catches there. We going there this weekend. How is the road. Any good spots to look out for?

Hi. The road is much better than last year. There is still however still some pot holes between Denesyville and Oranjeville.
We where at the Bhundu side(Non power Point side) the whole
place produced decent fish. My favorite spot is as you enter and you drive towards waters edge, to the right next to the trees. We had a lot of success in that spot.
Goodluck. Piece of advise if you camping take storm pegs, storm ropes and bolt it down as best as you can. Winds are brutal.

Thanks for the help. We were also on the side with no power. Fishing was excellent. Not sure what size fish we caught but they were decent. We were lucky not to have strong wind in the night.

Ive always wanted to visit Minanzi, and this post has just confirmes that it is a wonderful place...

Could you please give me prices to camp over.

Do you also have to make a feeding spot amd take you lines out that deep to get the nice fish...

Thanks Micks. Yes Mihanzi is an awesome fishing venue. I don't think 185m is needed. But I won't fish less than 100m. We did have lines at 60m and 90m and muddys kept us busy. I always make a feeding ground, tigers,mielies, hemp. But strangely enough no fish where caught on tigers,mielies. Floaties only.

Looking to do a trip very soon to Mihanzi. Do you have to book for the weekend? Or how does it work?

If you going to the non power side u don't need to book, but if you going to power point side I suggest you book early as there is stands there. We always fished on non power point side.
