Hi guys
I'd like to get some feedback from the old salty dogs as to what type of hooks to have on spoons and plugs / poppers.
Why do manufactures supply these lures with treble hooks as standard,if the first thing anybody on an angling program does is replace them with single hooks.
I understand it's better for releasing the fish less damaged, but does it improve the hookup at all.?
If anybody does recommend replacing trebles with singles is there a preferred direction.?
I've got big rooster poppers and stick baits in mind, being thrown from the side.
Will appreciate your input,
