We went to Hole in the wall last year September in a Toyota corolla and the car managed it just fine. You would struggle though if the road was wet.

Thanx ,these are retired friends of ours from Jozi and i dont think they realize what they in for ,they want to do a road trip up the wild coast ,eish
Great thanx ,I am just worried ,they are not a young couple. If the correct road is taken it is not bad.
The correct road to take, Follow the road down from Vidgesville. Do NOT take the first hole in the wall exit. Take the first road after that to the right (This is at Kwaaimans Shopping centre). Follow this road down to hitw.
As mentioned, if the roads are wet it will get tricky, as the hills become seriously slippery.
Great thanx ,I will advise themIf they are precious about their vehicle rather advise them to go somewhere else as they will find potholes, mud, rocks, etc that might be a challenge for a vehicle with low clearance. This is especially an issue if they want to go to coffee bay or Mpame from there. If they just go to hole in the wall hotel, the road is fine. PS- they must have a clear map of the correct road.

The roads are alright if you take it slow, but have gotten worse after the rains. Just to correct jac, the turnoff is at Ngcwanguba store, just after Kwaaiman. Do not take the Zitulele hospital route(turnoff just before Kwaaiman). That road is very bad!
