HLULEKA COAST

The reserve has accommodation in wooden chalets on stilts overlooking the sea. From the balconies you should be able to see hundreds of dolphins lazily dipping through the surf. There is a small shop.
The reserve itself is a wanderers’ paradise, with hundreds of little meandering paths. You could encounter blesbuck, zebra and wildebeest. On the beach you will find the tracks of otter. The forest is rich in incredible bird- life reverberating through the trees – sunbirds, canaries, herons, and the jewel in the crown: the fabulous, elusive narina trogon.
You will need a permit to fish – this permit can be obtained when you make your booking through the Nature Conservation Office in Umtata.
Many operators run hiking trails along this stretch of coast, with accommodation in local guest homes.
To get here, travel from Umtata towards to Port St Johns. At Libode take a right turn and travel through Ntibane to reach the Hluleka Nature Reserve.[/align]

HLULEKA Nature reserve is one of my all time favourite spots. You will love the place.
The only problem is the 50 km of gravel / sand road before you reach the reserve. The condition of this road depends on when it was last graded.
If you guys are gonna be traveling via Bizana be careful there are some huge pot holes on this road, also be very careful of the animals on the road.
when you get there ask for a gillie by the name of Kideo, he'll show you around.

I haven't been there yet but will be going soon, Only fished Brazen Head so far,
From what I heard is that you can contact the Nature Reserve as they hire out wooden fisherman cabin's according to a buddy of mine that has been there also take alot of stuff as shops are very far.
This is what I came accross on the site regarding accomodation :
Accommodation in the reserve is provided by 12 self- catering chalets/cottages which are rented as a whole and can sleep 6 people each. For further information, contact the camp on Tel: +27 (0)47 531 5290.

The information Kingfisher supplied on Accomodation is quite correct. All the cabin are within the reserve and a reasonable walking distance to the beach, with cottage no 1 being the closest to the fishing area and no 12 the furthest.
Make your bookings as soon as possible, because during peak periods it is normally fully booked.

No fishing is allowed in the 'Marine Reserve' which is within the nature reserve .
There are plenty of fishing spots within the nature reserve where fishing is allowed and within walking distance that fall outside the marine reserve. In fact to get to the marine reserve is a bit of a walk.
If you guys are going to take a walk in the marine reserve leave all rods and tackle behind. On my last trip there, there were armed patrols in the marine reserve.
