I can't believe that in this day and age, trek-netting is actually legal? Most definitaly a "WTF" moment.

I do not support the trekkers at all but we have to see these photos in perspective before we criticise. This haul is nothing compared to the kob being caught from boats at Infanta, Kleinbaai, Stilbaai, Mosselbaai, Gansbaai, etc. Even rock and surf anglers at destinations which I will keep to myself do much more damage in one evening. We just don’t know about it because photos are not published.

Not nice to see!!!!!!

I feel the same way but, at the same time, we really need to make people aware of this. Its a huge problem and something must be done about this.

If I only caught one of those cob I'd be over the moon! The way they just pillaging the ocean makes me sick.

Bom i was about to add Witsand and Gouritz to my post but i see you know what you are talking about... and let's not even get into the sensitive issue of dumping... Where' i've watched guys throw a 10kg plus kob overboard, to keep a 20kg fish......
