I am not quiete sure how to explain it other than- Hold the two hooks back to back then while holding them back to back snell them together with how ever many turns you would like then just put the wire throu the eye of the hook which will be slightly lower and pull tight then if you have heat shrink the correct size put it on or just leave it as is or even a small drop of super glue.

here is a picture of a makkie head rigged on the trace.

The most important part is to put the bait on the opposite hook to the one that your snell knot goes out of.

I normally flap the fillets over its head but i would take forever to defrost bait oin this weather to do it that way but on the weekend hopefully i will fish and if so i will defrost a makkie and rig it flapped.

on this trace I have even seen people use yellowtail heads on the 8'0s and 120lb steel only to hook a sharp nose and be bitten off on the leader after the sharpnose jumped

Vaal haai,cowsharks,spearnose skates in winter and then in summer i will use the trace with bigger hooks and stronger steel for bronzies,raggies,diamonds etc.
This trace is very nice to use with a head bait because the bait is so easy to put on and then the hook is so proud.
I will take a few pics of baits hopefully this weekend if I go fish for non eds.

I have used them and they are awesome! aswell as the seagrand line also AMAZING it almost glows in the dark lol

but sadly all that ive caught on the leaders is skaam haaie and a smoothie of 2kgs which will hopefully change into a bronzie this season. but i cant see how i will brake off if i get stuck lol

Naand manne, ek geniet dit om die see afdeling ook te lees al het ek nie soveel kennis nie.

My oom het ook hierdie trace al gebruik in die verlede met goeie resultate, sy hoeke was dieselfde, hy het hulle net vas gesoldeer.

Weet nie of julle manne dit ook doen nie.
