If it wasn't for bad luck i wouldnt have luck at all.

" I like ".

Met die ccma saak agter die rug en met n wen kan ek dalk ook op oom craig se knoppie druk vir my eerste custom slimline.

PS : die nuwe pocket rocket van kops met tor20 en 6oz vlieg 150m. Jip. Trues bob. Die mannekie moet so paar casting clinics hou !! My aksie in 5min verander en klaar improvement gesien . Maar ek steeds skrikerig om die braid te "looi"

What you didn't mention is he's doing those distances with 0.50mm line and not guessed distances, measured and he knows he needs new bearings in his reel

Hi guys, went down yesterday morning to go and test my new baby and boy it was fun! Granted it was only a sinker, but used .50 and 1mm leader,

made some marks in the sand and started to experiment, a semi long drop and just a little push back and boom it flew far, first one measured 141m, then into the water to wet the line and threw again, roland arrived just in time to witness the cast, 147m, not quite the 150m plus cast, but a service to the reel and i think it should get there soon.

fished for hotties today, and rod is really great, still enough sensitivity to feel gorries bite.

Roland also has improved vastly on his tor 20 with braid, he is also gooing his new setup super distances now....

Kopstamp,

Based on what you said about your Seagrand 14ft, I contacted Enigma to order one.

Cut a long story short, got my new rod, teamed it up with a Trini-30, and can only say - Moerse Dankie.

Be very aware though, spending time with Craig can cost you a lot of money !!

hi karl

I am glad you are happy! funny thing os when i first saw them i was not so sure, got into the league thing and needed wanted another rod, phoned craig and he built me a custom version.... well best decision i har made.

Did it improve your distance??

Kopstamp,

Yes, it has improved. Still need to get used to the new rod, as it's much different than my Kingfisher HMG - medium an med/heavy. Basically need to make more time for fishing.

Want to throw with Torium 20, spooled with Seagrand .40mm. Practise and more practise I suppose.

hehe, ja been practicing alot. My thumb is looking like a paris streetmap.

Been using the ,45 biggame, that .05mm makes a difference when it comes to overwinds and repeated casting imho.

Going to spool the Big Game .40mm (blue) on my Trini-30 tonight and have a few casts later in the week.

I really this line, feels really supple and prefer it over the Seagrand. Have not tried the .50mm.

Need to get me some, and spool it onto my Torium-30.

Areu making use of a wind-on ?

Not to change the topic, the rod is very very very lekker, and at a decent price. Will definately buy my next rod from ENIGMA.

Hi Carl

i use the .45 for most league days, if i do get sent to the rocks i use .50 biggame.

ON the .45mm i use a back to back fig8 from .70 -1mm
om the .50 i use a windon.

I do on both lines double the main line by using a bimini.
If you are mainly fishing eds then .80 with doubling done by a spiderhitch will be fine.

Just wet the biggame and pull the know tight well. the smoothness does make the knot slip if not pulled tight properly.

thanks Kopstamp for the advise. will go and play with my knots.

will keep you updated on how things improve. with only recently moving to George, i will now at least have more fishing time once things have settled.

HI Karl

Its pleasure, let me know if you need some input, look under the FAQ knot section for pictures and some bait presentations.

Let us know how the rods works.

Karl now you know why I so strongly recommended that you and Kopstamp get together for a few fishing sessions

Glad you like the rod
