Depending on exactly what you want to do 2 reels come to mind.
1. Shimano Ultegra 5500(comes with 2 spools)-I have one on a 10'6 Oval DC and it is great. Designed for long casting mine is loaded with 30lb braid and it cast a country mile. I use this rod for spinning. 1-4 ounce rating.
2. Stradic 5000.(1 spool).
Penn also make some nice spinning reels.
In the end it will boil down to what you like and how big the dent is you want to make in your pocket, lots of excellent reels available but costa plenty!

Thanks gor all the input so far! I own the ultegra 14000 and it is a nice reel but don't think I want another one. I have heard alot of good remarks about the stradic! The stella, gossa and sustain is a little out of my budget! Does anyone know more about the Spheros SW? Yes jpg ons kon nie juis meer as twee dae vang agv fie wind nie, maar het n hele paar galjoene gekry(eintlik al wat ons getarget het), en so paar ander klein rots vis!

The sustain 5000 is very good. It weighs 300g which is very light. It also has a great drag and cranking power. This light weight makes it ideal for spinning for long periods.

My brother has the spheros and it is also a good reel. It weighs 455g and is more bulky than the sustain. If you looking at buying the reel new then take your rod with to the shop fit the various reels on the rod and checking which one is best suited to balance your outfit.

Got myself the Rovex 5000 which is a lot cheaper . . . . .

If you are more scratching than spinning the retrieve rate is not that much important, if you are going to spin with it rather look at the faster retrieve in a good reel. If the spheros has a HG version available here go for it, otherwise the stradic is a very nice little reel and very capable or penns are also nice and quick on the retrieve but check the specs of everything. A little slower than you'd like for dedicated spinning but a very nice robust reel that is a pleasure to use is the Lethal 60 if you can find one, which I use with 50lb braid for scratching.
I use a stradic 5000 with 20 or 30lb braid on my exceler 10" xxxh for the light R&S spinning and it is a magic combo, perfect match.

Have you though of maybe a size up also, take your rod in with you and see how they feel. Use a battle 6000 and a lethal 60 for my bait fishing and they are more than capable, maybe see how a shimmy 8000 or 6000 of other make feels etc..? Just a suggestion.
