You can stay at De Mond and your normal sea fishing permit will allow you to fish. There are also a few farm-stay places around. A  Green Card will also help with discount.

I fished there last Thursday. Arrived at 7am and left at 11am. Caught 3 Grunters, 2 Steenies and 1 Stumpie. Only 2 grunters were size, but still good fun. Will post pics later. I only got back yesterday and after 5 weeks of holiday I have a lot of crap to sort out.

Here is the biggest grunter of the day. 56cm Total length. I was alone so I took a self portrait with the camera timer. This was the first time that I caught an undersized grunter. They are usually between 60-75cm. "Die Mond" is a wonderful place to fish and I would like to see that it stays that way.

Nice one...thats probably the premier light tackle destination , That I know of..........

 

 

The only spot I found that was better for Grunter , was incoming tide at Goukama river mouth , every throw a Grunter with fresh Prawn
