Hi Guys, Here´s a small report from live aboar

We finally got to david’s bank and even tough we did not find the big GT´s we were looking for the next 3 hours we had the most insane light tackle session one can imagine.
Fishing poppers, stick baits, drop shot and small jigs I lost count on how many fish we caught, but know that by the end of the day we had released 19 different species of fish…

We must have caught close to two dozen bohar snappers…

We also caught well over a dozen swallow tail rockcod... they were like a pest on the drop-shot!!!

We got cut off by numerous pink-handle and specially a lot of nice size great barracuda...but we did manage to land a few.

They were mostly taking poppers ad stick baits and did awesome jumps when hooked…

That turns out to be a bluefin kingfish…

Even if we were not getting trophy fish it was seriously entertaining as you never knew the next species that was going to be on the end of your line...

It just never stopped, the species just kept coming in!!!

We got queen mackerel…

We got shit loads of everything and finally in the light tackle mayhem at last get our first GT. A small specimen for Phillip but on light tackle it was great fun.

On the back I am hooked into another on 20 pound braid that spooled me...

Again we have a beautiful sunset…and we all have action right until nightfall!

It was a hard call to make after such great fishing in such little time. We had hardly explored the reef, but we had come for the big GT´s and wanted to experience as much of the reef’s as possible. Unanimously we decided to travel at night, miss Acorn reef and start early the next morning at Pantallon 2!

Everyone was flat tired that night, but under a beautiful full moon we had a feast of seared tuna and at last celebrated some epic fishing with free flowing double Black!!!

We arrived on the reef at 3am and put anchor, hardly sleeping so anxious were us for sunrise.

But again, the weather Gods did not smile at us and the clear windless forecast was not to happen. For the first 4 hours of the morning it poured down with rain and when it stopped the wind come howling through...
