Hi Guys

Report on Wawiepark outing


Missed a few carp, but landed a 3kg and a nice 13kg at last, a new PB. Plain floats or "deeg". Also lots of way too small geelies and muddies!

A lot of activity on Barbels, size between 1-4kg on rapalas.


Weather was hot and sunny, not a lot of wind. Went for the deeper holes and tried to steer free of rock banks etc.

River flow was manageable, but again we did not cast into the stream, but looked for the holes of slow moving water.

seen a lot of asian-carp feeding on grass floating by.

Fish were active throughout.

once again, first time out to Wawiel, has anyone been there lately and hows fishing been there. Will be going there this weekend, any further tips and advise you guys can offer, will report back on Monday from my side.

Fishing was good. bad landing space though from the banks.

Caught nice on Mielies (all sweet) and worms
nothing Big to report back on.
However the venue on the whole is an amazing place and very enjoyfull for a family.
