The best area for kraaker in CT has to be Pearly Beach, Uilkraalmond, De Dam and Rietfontein area. But be prepared to be hurt on the rocks. Those big kraakers don't come easily. 0.80mm leader min.

This weekend I ran into a 45cm kraaker on prawn at De Dam and did that little bugger give me a good fight. Had to let him come to peace with his fate a couple of times bhind a rock before trying to get him in. I have encountered the unlandables at rietfontein. All you can do is pray the tackle holds. Mine didn't

PS. my mates had some nice runs on rooi aas picked up on the beach. Must have been kraakers, so do not walk past some on the beach

ckrackers ussally go for red crab,Siffy,perlemoen and amadilla.
