Thanks for the advice Naruto another question that I've just got to ask, if you don't mind.

When making a spot/kol do you make 2 separate spots for each rods or do you fish both rods to the same place and make 1 big spot. With specimen fishing we usually fish just off the spot but we use a different rod to make the spot so I presume with this style of fishing it will be on the spot or as close as possible.

To be honest, I suck a bit  at this whole "kolgooi" thing. Some guys gooi kol with one rod while the other is used to try and get fish a bit further out. Some guys use both rods on one spot... So its up to you. And it also depends on the venue and the type/size fish you want to target.

Haha! Ek begin gewoonlik so:
Eerste cast is so 80m...
Tweede cast is so ver as wat ek kan gooi...

As ek vis kry op 80m is ek happy...
As ek nie vis daar kry nie kyk ek rondom my waar die manne wel vis kry en pas daarby aan...
Ek sal dan daar waar die vis uitkom probeer n kol opbou...
En afhangende van wat die manne se tempo is rondom my sal ek dan daai tweede stok of nog verder probeer gooi of ook op die kol cast...
As ek op die verder stok vis kry gaan ek elke keer met altwee stokke cast tot daar, weereens afhangende wat die korter stok se tempo ens is...

Ek sukkel met die kolgooi. Ek sukkel om op dieselfde plek te gooi as die water so dieselfde lyk, met ander woorde ek kan nie sien waar ek laaste gecast het nie.
