The last time ive been to the nature reserve site, we managed to catch one meduim bass. No power boats are allowed that side, which is better for bank fishing, there are a decent amount of carp and a few barbel that i saw coming out that side. Poor ablusion blocks, there are simply long drops, which are in poor condision, costs for a night, R30.00 the last time i was there. If your aim is to go for carp, reserve side mite be a better option due to all boats and grass.. hope this helps. there also nice wild life and birds around the area. :fishn oh ive been to bronkies about 8 times, best lures and dips. Almond and garlic, also flavoured dow, with floaties at the top hook. We pulled out 8 in a day. Lots of carp, just not as big.

Yes we got 10 Carps for the weekend, I think biggest was around 2.0Kg, It was a fun weekend. A few guys around us also got alot. But yes u had to either throw deep deep ( 80m + ) we took the lines a few times in with the canoe.
But yeah after all a fun filled weekend.
