Hi all - I was lucky enough to be able to go on trip to the Coetivy Island in the Seychelles in April to do some jigging and plugging.  I have meaning to prepare a report on the trip but work been hectic ever since I got back. 

 

Here are some pics of the trophy fish landed. I will do a full report shortly – hopefully!

tkei.... I think you are on the mark.... flippen close to the 3 digit for sure!!!! When I spoke to Craig..... and he described the fish.... and they compared it to other pics of BIG HOUNDS (proper DOGS - not doggies) caught and weighed.... it certainly sounded like hitting the magic number. it died.... pity you couldn't get it to a scale. I think you may have set a new landmark.......

Craig, good on you Brother!!!! Excellent!!!!!! Super-excellent!!!!!

As an aside..... I fished the CADSAS comp in Inhassoro last week.... and there were some BIG GTs (on popper and jig) - my PB GT got sharked at the boat by a big Tiger on jig (GT hit me at 140M!!!!! Tiger hit GT at the boat. Lots of work for a head) but I heave the "head pics" to prove it.

Also got sharked on my PB Greater AJ. Have pics of the head to prove it as well. Not sure I like Tiger sharks anymore....

Lance Westerhout (based in Inhassoro) boated the biggest AJ of the comp which according to the tables should have been 32Kg - but it was a FAT fish and was certainly closer to 40 than the tables suggested (tape on the fish with pic before release). As soon as I get the pics from CADSAS committee I will post them.

Sorry about the mini hi-jack........

Craig, as close as dammit to the magic number that fish is Bro!!!!

Craig - like the rest of us, you're a fisherman. 110 sounds a lot better than 97.

Call it somewhere between the 2 is fair..... it's also "north" of 100 which is the magic number. Genuinely a trophy!

Roy - yep like most you guys my wife believes I got a 22 inch!!!

It would have been nice to get the actual weight, anyway I am more than over the moon!!

Awesome stuff. Neptune warrior was moored at Eden while we were there. Awesome boat! Next visit I am definitely forking out and spending some quality time further out. I want a piece of that doggie - wow!!!
