For how long have you been collecting.

I Collect mainly Penn Reels used for Rock,Surf and Rivers.

Hi for about 45 years but seriously for past 20 years. Hi do mainly ABU reels but have many Penn reels. Also couple of Ocean City , Bronson , Pflueger , and many other .

Yes for light tackle its fine , but bid slow retrieve and plastic spool can brake easy with our new thin lines available today.

Personally I rather use the SL 20 or 30 Daiwa

Frits, om die waarheid te se weet ek nog nie, ek het hom in 'n sak gekry, heeltemal uitmekaar uit, sukkel sover nog net om die ergste van die spoel af te kry. Gelukkig is daar 'n klomp ou Penn parte waarmee ek kan speel.

guys you want to know the value of penn reels?the usa ebay site here is totally flooded with penn reels hundereds of pages full of penn reels!so i had a look and u can get parts for almost any reel here!the most expensive are the big senator range and they go for no more than $110. so for your big reels you should be asking about R600 R700 in sa.hope this helps
