siorry guys for many posts,but it's the slowness of posts being sent.then i try again with enter key and then all the tries go through.no, i don't work for cassh crusadors i just can't keep away from them, because of real bargains one sometimes get.Got a daiwa sl30 for just 300 bucksand a 50sl for 400 bucks, just a few scratches on the outside.reels still going after 4 years.

I agree with HJFR.......I got an old golfcart from the local golf club and modified it a bit. Cost me R80. Yes sure, maybe the wheels will not be as good as the "Toyota tyres" above, however I have used it a couple of times and it "rocks". Just increase the axle with, it helps to spread the load a bit.

Put 3 golf cart (golf bag) type tyers together on one side, then wrap them up nice and tight with a piece of inner tube or ductape. (Silver one) so youll have 3 wheals making one wheal iow. Just extend the axle! Should work? You could even use some expanding foam in there. Alternatively, try builders warehouse for inflatable whealbarrow tyers? Hahaha. Crazy ideas. Lol

My advice: Use ordinary bicycle wheels.
I spend more than R1000 in buying second hand 4wheeler wheels, 4 bearings and a 20mm steel shaft for building the ultimate fish cart. This was a HUGE mistake as I had the trolley for about 1 month before cutting it up and build one from bicycle wheels again.
The wider the wheel= the more the trouble. The principle works on 4x4 but not on fish carts since the width of the wheel pushes against a huge wall of sand which the wheel and the weight create. Thus one has to pull the cart, carry the weight and constantly pull the cart over the wall which only creates a new wall. Excuse my English and my stupid explanation but I did the best I could.
I must also say that I had about 3 carts of which only the bicycle wheels worked.

Was also just toying with the idea of using just a plain old inner tube thats somehow secured to the rim and then thicker rubber or another inner tube bonded on to the first one to make it thick? Would be seriously light and wide enough I rate. Maybe use whealbarrow inners? Just a thaught. Quad wheals are heavy indeed, so would never use something like that. And id rather go for something with four wheals as the wheight would be dispearsed more evenly? As for steering id go with something like the old 'go-cart' / 'stoot karriekie' style. Make a harness for the waist and off you go, so as you turn the cart would turn too?
