I bought the exceller 10ft6. The old one. So far it seem good.
Caught a lot of small fish. Carrenteens , black tails and at1.5kg cob.
And a lot of carp.

I have the exceler 9'6" and have noticed the normal amount of corrosion on the eyes and have cracked one in normal use.. But no more damage than any other brand with a rinse after use. That said, the blank is dynamite, for surf spinning my favorite rod for sure. It has tamed garrick and 'tail up to 11kg with ease and even caught me bonnies up to 5kg from the side with ease as well as handling wahoo and school size tunny spinning from a boat in East africa. It has gallantly fought and beaten bigger fish that I've lost at the side with hooks pulling or gaffing f-ups. The exceler reel though is ***.. The rod has had enough backbone for anything that has grabbed my plug or spoon etc thus far..and has lifted fish up to 8kg up cliffs no problem, more would push it..

It also casts like a dream and is light.. sending 3 oz plugs out very far. It overloads on 3 1/2 - 4 1/2 oz casting weight but still whips it out no problem and even seems to like it. 2 oz casts well too but slightly overloaded seems to fly out the best with a good loading and whip and letting the blank work for you. Great rod.

Vengeance is not in the same league as the Pro Series or Exceller. Lower range carbon

WAFT has a seriously good Dropshot rod, not sure of the name but had a fish with Johan Beukes's one at Mazeppa and was seriously impressed. Good quality guides and layout as well.

Vengeance should be compared to a lower end Daiwa rod or the Sensation Short range to get the effect of apples with apples.

I have a Pro Series 9'6" 3 piece with a Shimmie Sustain 5000. I LOVE the rod, it's got plenty of backbone whilst still being light enough in the tip to throw lighter lures.

I have spent entire days walking the beach, throwing all sorts of lures and spoons for garrick and the set-up is light enough not to tire you out too much.

I can highly recommend the rod.
