I am new to this forum and boating
so i really hope you can help / guide me in the right direction.
My brother and i just purchased an old Z-craft with DT85 Suzi two weeks back, purely just for fishing. As soon as I collected the boat I took the boat straight in for a service just to make sure everything is in working order
Now my question is : the shop where I have taken the boat in had picked up a couple issues on the Carbs etc. which have been sorted, but now the control box is bust and un-repairable! is there a "cheaper"universal box that we could put on? with a separate ignition ( if need be ) and same for the T&T. Or would it have to be an original Suzuki box? we stuck between a rock and a hard place because we have already forked out R5500.00 in getting the COF up to date and R5700.00 on the service, so we just cant see it feasible to fork out another +/-R7000.00 on a control box when the boat in all fairness is worth R15 000.00
I really hope you all can help? possibly even get me in contact with someone who has an used Suzi box for sale that wouldn't cost an arm and a leg.
