Help needed to identify make of boat

Hi all, I am a novice when it comes to boats! I need help to identify the make of the boat in the attached pic.  I think the boat is 16 ft. I am keen on buying the boat for inland dam and river fishing and maybe later convert it by fitting 2 motors and to upgrade it to category C. Do you think it will be suitable for category C? Thanks

I have learned that there are major flaws to the specific hull design of the Wahoo in the sense that the support reinforcements running alongside the outer sections of the hull and the keel from the front of the nose stops just before the centre of the boat which apparently causes a stress fault on the hull just where the supports ends. I inspected the hull and have seen a small crack which confirms the theory.

Advise needed: Would it solve the problem if one would extend the support reinforcement right through to the back of the boat and if so, what material is to be used, metal or wood? (Someone suggested a stainless steel or aluminium strip from front to back and enclosed in fiber.

If you're going to buy two new/secondhand engines anyway rather get a hull you can trust. you sound doughtfull about the entegrity of this one and to start ripping up decks and reinforcing things is hard exspensive work and time spent off the water

good luck
