yeah,what was the fishing like,we got a club compo on at inloop which is next door,i think,i do believe the fishing is good but you have to fish deep,i have seen photos of huge barbel caught there.

Hi Werner,

We used plain white dough with plain floaties.

Rod 1 : Carp Red ( Molasses ) and O4 on the bol

Rod 2: Carp Red; Fx and Petite Janine on the bol

Most of our fish was caught on the combo of rod 2.

Other combinations: Perdeby float; white dough backing with Perdeby and FX on the bol. I sometimes dipped the bottom hook in either Perdeby or FX.

I caught 19 fish with a net weight of 10kg.

We cast about 80m - 100m.

Back from inloop which is about 5km past Togo,

The weather on saturday was k%k ,just like my team, the sharks played, but the fishing was good

The banks are nice and green ad slopes into the dam, the water is deep, 5m in and you are waist deep and you cast into the channel which is where the Wilge river comes in.

I caught  a total of 18 fish ,mostly grass carp ave weight 1.2kg and 2 barbel of 5.6kg and 3.8kg respectably

Most fish caught in the compo was 71 with a combined weight of 79kg,this angler put ears on us.

bait used  mielies ,maggoy floaties, deegie with honeyglow,or strawberry or chocolate or banjo dip

4 toilets and 2 showers with warm water

Tago gets a thumbs up from me

Been there twice during December and on both trips we caught

Fished on the competion side best catch was a 3.5kg grass carp

Ablution facities are extremely clean (this place is suitable for the missus and little ones)

Zorro is also extremely helpful and very friendly

Will definitely be visiting TAGO again and again...

i wont go any where else than tago been there alot of times and always get good fish. biggest cat is 12kg and 8kg carp in the sloep. and my boet cought a 6kg grassie. very nice place to stay and safe
